Psalm 138:7- Though I walk in the midst of trouble, you preserve my life; you stretch out your hand against the anger of my foes, with your right hand you save me.
Where has your human wisdom taken you in life? My human wisdom has gotten routes messed up multiple times, caused me to be misguided by google maps, chosen wrong trains and gotten into trouble for that. It was like I paid money to walk right into trouble.
I have walked multiple times into bad situations and opened my mouth and with my words dug my own grave. Do any of these seem like familiar scenarios in your life too? Have you been in a situation where you didn’t mean what you said and it was interpreted the wrong way? Or have you paid money to walk into trouble like me and totally regretted that decision the moment you stepped your foot into that place?
I personally have tried to deal with the anxiety of not knowing. For instance there was an impending result I just had to know at office. It was like a major exam result which involved not just passing or failing but also money so it was a big deal Although I did pray about it, I was super worried. Everyday was like walking with a burden. until it struck me, why am I so worried about it? Is my worrying going to change the already decided results?
It took me a while to understand this secret. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for your rod and your staff, they comfort me.
We need the divine wisdom to help us get through these situations in life.
God has a purpose through every journey of your life like he had for the Israelites. They were on their journey for 40 years whereas it was not like there wasn’t a shorter way to reach their destination. But this was God’s preparation time for them.
Cookies and cakes take different amounts of time to bake in the oven.
You may be in your 40 years journey or the waiting period but God has a purpose for everything in your life. All that He wants you to do is go to Him.
Are you ready for the exchange of your human wisdom?
Lord, be with me in all my decisions I need to make today, I do not know which is right or wrong. Lord close the doors that are not meant for me. Amen.
