“ I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you and watch over you.”
Being a non-resident of India for seventeen years of my life and then being suddenly put into an atmosphere without adult supervision was quite challenging for me. Travel was one area I used to find very challenging. From finding the platform number of a train to survival skills while traveling alone, I wished there was a book to read before I landed in India to tell me how to find the platform number of a train, and to teach me survival skills while traveling alone.
We may not really learn much from the places we were sent to learn from ( we might learn something too) but there is a learning involved in our everyday struggles. The key lies in trying to not be negative through the worst of the worst situations in life and trying our best to learn from it. All said and done, I do realize we may not all be able to understand each other’s struggles or make head and tails of our own struggles when we are in it and just by not understanding, we may not be able to convey what we feel to our closest friend or our spouse. But we have our counselor up above who guides us, guards us and takes control of everything we do if we ask Him to be a part of our lives.
Shepherd of my soul I give you full control,
Wherever You may lead I will follow.
I have made the choice to listen for Your voice,Wherever You may lead I will go.
Be it in a quiet pasture or by a gentle stream,
The Shepherd of my soul is by my side.
Should I face a mighty mountain or a valley dark and deep,
The Shepherd of my soul will be my guide.
